On location or in the studio, he likes to bring out the true nature of elements or places "I make images work with the beauty I see in life" Hammond says " making images is a matter of knowing what I want, then finding it with the objects I am working with".
Although he lived in New York city for 14 years he now lives in France with his wife and children.
